I'm watching the Calder Cup game 6 on Sportnet Sens. My questions:
1. When did Sportnet get the rights to the Calder Cup?
2. Why the heck would they then put it on a regional overflow channel?

The answer to (1) is sometime between games 2 and 3. The answer to (2) is because One had soccer and regionals had baseball tonight. They've had a few other conflicts too.
I think this deal had as much to do with the B-Sens making the Final as anything. And I think the Ottawa Senators wanting the game to air in their territory is a major reason why it ended up on Sportsnet Sens. I'm not sure how interested Sportsnet really was.
